
Fees and Cancellation
At Let’s Play Therapy, we aim to keep our fees clear, fair, and in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Sessions can be privately funded, covered by the NDIS (self-managed or plan-managed), or funded through the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
Fees
Parent/Caregiver Intake - $280 (up to 90 minutes)
Child Sessions - $170 private / billed to NDIS at $193.99
Each session is a 60-minute booking: 45 minutes with the child and 15 minutes for therapist case notes, planning, and room reset.
Parent/Caregiver Updates - $170 private / billed to NDIS at $193.99
Reports & Care Team Meetings - $170 private / billed to NDIS at $193.99 (per hour, minimum 60 minutes)
Note on NDIS counselling line items:
Some NDIS plans list “Counselling” specifically, which has a capped rate of $156.16/hr. Where required, we will bill under this line item. In all other cases, sessions are billed at the standard $193.99/hr therapeutic support rate.
Mobile Services (School-Based Counselling)
For children seen in their school environment, travel charges may apply.
We will always confirm and agree on travel costs before commencing mobile sessions.
Funding Options
NDIS – self-managed and plan-managed participants can claim sessions under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living.
Private Payment – invoices provided for families who choose to self-fund.
Department for Child Protection (DCP) – available where funding has been approved.
Scheduling Sessions
At Let’s Play Therapy, weekly sessions are key to supporting consistent therapeutic progress and managing our waitlist effectively. By accepting a weekly appointment time, families commit to regular attendance, with the understanding that occasional absences due to unforeseen circumstances may occur. If appointments are missed frequently, we’ll reach out to explore any challenges and discuss whether it’s the right time to continue therapy.
Client Cancellations
We understand that illness and unexpected events can sometimes prevent a child from attending their session. However, because each child’s session is reserved on a weekly basis, missed sessions cannot be offered to other families casually or filled last-minute.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, or failure to attend without notice (no shows), will incur 100% of the session fee.
Rescheduling & Alternative Supports
Whenever possible, we’ll do our best to offer rescheduled sessions or other flexible support options to avoid cancellation fees. These may include parent/caregiver check-ins via phone or video, resource development, report writing, or professional consultation on your child’s behalf.
